ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
"Low Impact" was researched, designed and written by Larry Fessenden, with additional writing and research by Michael Ellenbogen

"Over the years I have been influenced, challenged and informed by a number of authors, without whose research and publications I might not have found voice for my own environmental concerns. I list only a select few of these authors in the bibliography at the back of the book due to space, but here I would like to acknowledge and celebrate the people who have written and campaigned on behalf of the environment and a sane sustainable future. For while these topics are becoming increasingly acceptable, there was a time when it took great courage and foresight to develop a philosophy of science and living that challenged the status quo. We are all indebted to these pioneers.

Finally, this book is written for the love of the filmmaking process."
-- LF

"We have written this book because it is never too late to change and so all of us and our children will be able to "stop and smell the roses" for a long, long time."
-- ME

COLOPHON:

The print version of Low Impact Film making was created on a Macintosh IIsi using Quark Express, and Photoshop.

Our fonts are Garamond, Helvetica and Tempo Heavy Condensed.

This project consumed mostly paper: probably 5,00 sheets of paper for test prints, early versions, notes, etc. AII that paper has been recycled. We contacted most of the companies in the source guide, and they sent their info. As a result we're probably on 10,000 matting lists which will generate tons of paper waste.

Our first printing was of 1,000 copies.
We printed at Lyn-Bar Enterprise in Port Washington, NY. Our thanks to Greg Barber.
We used soy based ink and the following paper stocks:

Text: Lily of the Valley and Oat 70 lb. Sandpiper for Domtar Specialty Fine Papers (the paper is 100% post-consumer, non-deinked, and does not use chlorine-based bleaching agents in the manufacturing process).
Cover: Simpson Quest Bronze Cover 80 lb. (100% post-consumer)

Larry Fessenden aka Glass Eye Pix, is the producer-director of several internationally screened underground movies, including HOLLOW VENUS: Diary of a Go-Go Dancer and Experienced Movers and is also the co-creator of The Impact Addict Videos, The Rocket Movie, and STUNT: A Musical Motion Picture. He is part of the band Just Desserts which produces music out of New York City's lower East Side. No Telling, distributed by Greycat Films, is Fessenden's first major release. He wrote No Telling with his wife, Beck Underwood, publisher of the children's free bimonthly newspaper ZuZu.

Michael Ellenbogen worked on the film No Telling as a production assistant, grip/electric, and finally as assistant to the producers. He has recently finished his first independent film, Chronicle of War in F# which he wrote, directed, and produced through his production company Jack of Hearts Productions.

This book is for Beck, with whom I wrote "No Telling;" and to the loss of innocence.
